World Pro Racing and the Malta Motorsport Federation are proud to announce the 2026 Malta National Sim Racing Championships. Three national titles, five rounds each, broadcast live on national television, and open to every driver in the country. This is the most ambitious competitive programme we have ever built, and today we can finally share the full picture.
This is a moment we have been building towards for a long time. In collaboration with the Malta Motorsport Federation, we are hosting three distinct national championships this season: the Malta National GT3 Championship 2026, the Malta National F4 Championship 2026, and the Malta National Virtual Karting Championship 2026. Three championships, three disciplines, one season running from August through to November 2026.
Three Championships, Three Formats
The Malta National GT3 Championship runs on iRacing across five rounds at some of the most iconic circuits in the world, and it does something genuinely different with its car selection. Rather than locking drivers into a single car for the entire season, the championship rotates the machinery every round: the Mercedes-AMG GT3 at Spa-Francorchamps on 1 August, the BMW M4 GT3 at Imola on 5 September, the McLaren 720S GT3 at the Red Bull Ring on 19 September, and the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 at Watkins Glen on 3 October. Every driver faces the same challenge each time out: adapt fast, score points, move on. The season finale at Silverstone on 31 October is where it gets particularly special. Qualified drivers choose their own car for the closing round and go head to head for the national title.
The Malta National F4 Championship also runs on iRacing, sharing the same five-round calendar as the GT3 series. It is a spec single-seater formula, with each event featuring both Sprint and Feature races. The format rewards consistency and racecraft over one-lap pace, putting driver skill firmly at the centre.
The Malta National Virtual Karting Championship runs on Assetto Corsa using the Birel IAME X30 across five rounds: 8 August, 12 September, 26 September, 10 October, and 7 November. Karting is where many real-world careers begin, and we wanted this championship to reflect that spirit.
Full schedules, format details, and entry links are all on the championship landing page.
Broadcast Live on TVM, ESTV, YouTube and Twitch
Every round of all three championships will be broadcast live. That means live coverage on TVM via TVMSPORT+, Malta’s national television station, alongside Esports Television (ESTV), and on our own YouTube and Twitch channels. We wanted these championships to be visible, not just playable, and this broadcast package makes that possible for every viewer across the country and beyond.
How to Qualify
Qualifiers open on Tuesday 23 June 2026 and are free to enter. For GT3 and F4, the qualifier is a time-attack format: the top four drivers advance directly to the championship grid. The 2025 champions return automatically on a wildcard. A final race between the remaining qualifier finishers decides the last five places on the grid. The Karting qualifier follows its own format, detailed on the landing page.
Enter the GT3 qualifier, the F4 qualifier, or the Virtual Karting qualifier directly. A combined 15,000 euro in prize money (5,000 euro per championship) is distributed across the three series, though prize money is the footnote here, not the headline. The headline is competing for a national title.
Our Sponsors and Partners
None of this happens without the organisations that have put their trust in these championships. Gaming Malta and Enemed are the headline sponsors of the 2026 season. Their support is what makes the broadcast, the prize pool, and the scale of this programme possible.
We are also supported by a strong group of partners who make the sim racing experience better for every driver: Moza Racing, Intercomp, AMD, GT Omega, and AC Karting. On the technical side, SimTech.dev and Arkafort serve as technical partners, providing the infrastructure and systems that power the championship platform.
A Word of Gratitude
We want to say this plainly, because it deserves to be said plainly. Hosting a national championship is a responsibility we do not take lightly. Building something like this takes more than ambition. It takes people who believe in you before the results are in, and we have been fortunate to have those people around us from the beginning.
To the Malta Motorsport Federation: thank you for believing in our work and for entrusting us to host these national championships. That trust is not something we will ever take for granted. We know what the Federation’s name on these events means to Maltese motorsport, and we are committed to honouring that trust with every round we run.
To Gaming Malta: you have supported us since the very beginning, before the venue was fully running, before the broadcast was real, before any of this had been proven. That kind of long-term belief is what allows a project like this to grow into something meaningful, and we are genuinely proud to carry your backing into a national championship season.
To Enemed: you have backed us consistently, and that consistency is what allowed us to keep raising the bar. Your commitment to what we are building here has never wavered, and this season reflects that. Thank you.
To all our partners, Moza Racing, Intercomp, AMD, GT Omega, AC Karting, SimTech.dev, and Arkafort: because of your support, we can put proper championships in front of drivers who deserve a proper stage. Because of you, we can keep nurturing sim racing talent in Malta, keep building the community, and keep raising the bar for what is possible here. Thank you.
Qualifiers open 23 June. See you on track.
