Description
World Pro Racing is proud to announce its support for Justin as he embarks on a challenging endurance for a good cause. Over the next year, Justin will be participating in five 24-hour solo endurance races, with the goal of raising funds for the Puttinu Cares Foundation.
About the Event
Four years ago, Justin made a promise to Rennie to undertake an extreme event to raise funds for the Puttinu Cares Foundation, which supports families and individuals facing serious health challenges. The time has come for Justin to fulfill that promise through these endurance races.
Goals and Objectives
The primary goal of these races is to raise funds for the Puttinu Cares Foundation. Their commitment to helping those in need is truly inspiring, and Justin aims to honor that dedication through these endurance events.
However, this initiative is about more than just fundraising. It’s an opportunity to educate people about sim racing and the broader world of esports. Often misunderstood as mere gaming, sim racing is a competitive and unifying platform that fosters friendship, learning, and community. Justin, who works full-time in esports, is passionate about helping people understand the value and potential of gaming and esports.
The Challenge
Participating in five 24-hour solo endurance races is no small feat. It requires immense physical and mental preparation, rivaling that of traditional sports. The stamina, focus, and discipline needed to race for 24 hours straight are immense, showcasing that esports athletes are just as dedicated and hardworking as their counterparts in other sports.
How to Participate
Teams of 2 to 5 drivers are invited to join the event, whether you are a pro or an amateur, as long as you are a clean driver. Drivers or teams can compete either from their homes or from World Pro Racing’s facility at Montekristo Estate, where Justin will be racing. The second race will be held on the iRacing platform using the GTP and GT3 classes. Maximum teams racing from our facility is 5, as we will provide two simulators per team as per the previous race.
If you are Maltese and you don’t have iRacing, you can register on World Pro Racing’s website, pay a 15 euro fee to become a member with the Malta Motorsport Federation, and an iRacing key will be provided, covering a 1-year free membership. All you need is to purchase the car you want to race with and the track being used.
